The school needed some play equipment to encourage physical play. They had an area of grass surrounded by a playground and path.
A timber adventure trail was chosen that included elements to promote physical activity, balance, and co ordination. Although none of the elements had a critical fall height that needed safety surface, the school also chose to have Safagrass installed along the complete trail.
As well as giving protection from head injuries, this surface helps to prevent grass erosion in heavy wear areas, and extends the amount of time children can use it as they do not need to stop when the ground is wet. Once laid the Safagrass can be mown over as normal.
