The whole area was tarmac surrounded by steel fence. The first item to be installed was a TLF Jimmi play unit. This would cover several aspects of physical play such as climbing, spinning, balance. An area of tarmac was removed and concrete pads for the feet of the play unit were installed. The unit was bolted to the pads and green wet pour safety surface was laid to the recommended depth and area.

For sand and water play a sliding lid sandpit and a water play station with two troughs were installed. In another part of the play space some tarmac was removed and a mound covered in artificial grass was formed. Around this thermoplastic line markings were laid to form a track for wheeled toys. At one end of the track parking bays were marked out and a petrol pump was installed.

At the far end there was an area in a corner that was developed into a quiet area with planters and seating.
