A tower unit with slide and arched climber was installed with wet pour safety surface. A bridge with boulders, smaller pebbles, stepping stones and some plants was located towards one end of the area.

New tarmac was laid to the rest of the area with thermoplastic line markings to form a track for wheeled toys with road markings and parking bays. To add play and educational value a number ladder and alphabet snake were also created in thermoplastic. A tunnel was placed over the track at one end. A sand box with sliding lockable lids was installed, and a play barn that could be used for role play as well as storage was built.
