New surfacing, new shelter, new resources and new adventures awaits the children of Welbeck Academy!
With all kinds of elements of play included, this playground design offers children freedom, and the chance to learn through play on a much bigger scale, which is not readily available indoors.
Giving this space a completely fresh look with almost all new everything, our team have thoroughly enjoyed partially transforming this space.
Keeping a fraction of the existing tarmac in some areas, we installed stone resin, artificial grass, block paving and rubber mulch throughout the rest of the space.
Each surfacing option offers a different purpose, as well as brightening up the playground with different textures and colours.
Encouraging outdoor play activities throughout the year, this playground is inclusive of a natural clamber tree with a scrabble net; a fantastic feature to enhance physical ability.
As well as enhancing physical education, this new space also offers the opportunity for children to get stuck into messy play activities and engage in water play, thanks to their new mud kitchen and water stream.
With a variety of timber play resources and storage throughout, there is plenty of outdoor learning fun and play to be had.
